DP-3 scales assesses ability in each of 5 domains: physical, adaptive-behavior, social-emotional, cognitive, and communication. Each of the 186 items describes a particular skill pertaining to one of the 5 scales. Individuals familiar with the child indicate whether the child has mastered the skill. Scales are scored spearately to allow separate administration and interpretation of the profile of scores. Standard scores are provided which may be used to qualify individuals in terms of eligibility for service.
