~ assesses and predicts anxiety across situations and measures treatment response. This test uses three related self-report measures. The EMAS-S (State) measures cognitive and physiological anxiety response. The EMAS-T (Trait) measures anxiety in socially evaluative, physically dangerous, new or amiguous, and routine situations. The EMAS-P (Perception) evaluates the individual's perception of the type and intensity of threat.
The new EMAS-SAS (Social Anxiety Scales) extend the EMAS by assessing separation and self-disclosure anxiety plus related situational perceptions.

~ (1999) is an inventory for assessing social fears and anxiety in children. SPAI-C consists of 26 items. Content identifies underlying social fears which may be expressed as poor school performance, oppositional behaviour, or truancy. Although, this assessment is modeled on the Social Phobia and Anxiety Inventory for adults, it includes DSM-IV descriptors specifically written for children.
